The boot the bootcuts are cut for. Black leather, pointed last, mid shaft, with a zip on the inside quarter rather than elastic gores. A 4 cm heel — enough to break the flare properly, not enough to notice you are wearing it.

The leather
Smooth finished leather, not patent and not corrected grain. It will crease across the vamp inside a week — that is the leather taking the shape of your foot, and it is the point. Keep it out of standing water and wax it twice a season.
The sole is cemented, not welted. That keeps the boot light and keeps the price where it is. It also means this is not a boot you resole. We would rather say that now than have you find out in three years.
Fit & sizing
True to EU size, with a narrow toe box — if your foot is wide, take the next size up. The shaft is cut close so the jean sits over it cleanly instead of bunching.
There is an internal lift in the heel. If you do not want the height, this is not the boot.
Our bootcuts are measured to break over a 4 cm heel. Worn flat, they will sit long.
